Jewelry and watches on the go: storage that fits in your suitcase

How many pieces are you taking? We will find the case, pouch or box that keeps them apart, from a weekend getaway to a business trip.

  • Chains kept apart
  • Protected watches
  • Order-by date

Why use dedicated storage for travel?

In a suitcase, everything moves. Chains knot, earrings get lost at the bottom of a pocket, a watch gets scratched by a key. Good travel storage does three things: it separates your pieces, it holds them in place during the journey and it stays compact in your luggage.

Its size depends on what you are taking, not on the length of your stay: a few chosen pieces are enough for a weekend, while a larger collection calls for a carrying case. The tool below therefore starts from the number of pieces.

How many pieces are you taking?

Enter the number of necklaces, pairs of earrings, rings, bracelets and watches you want to take. Choose travel mode: in this mode, no compartment holds two necklaces, so they do not tangle during the journey.

How many slots do I need for my trip?

What you need for each type of jewelry, then the models that match.

The tool does not take the length of your stay into account: it counts your pieces, nothing more. It is up to you to decide what comes with you.

The traveler's quiz

Jewelry, watches or both? How many pieces? Two questions, and the quiz sends you to the pre-filled tool or to the watch cases.

Find my travel storage

Two questions to travel with peace of mind.

Pouch, case, carrying case, box: which format?

Pouches

Lightweight, they slip into a suitcase pocket. Ideal for a few pieces. See travel boxes and pouches.

Watch cases

Roll or cushion style, they protect one or more watches. See watch cases.

Carrying cases

Rigid, with compartments, they suit larger collections. See carrying cases.

Compact boxes

Small closing boxes, with storage for rings and earrings. See storage options.

Rolls

Rolls lay chains out flat, one per strip. Look among the travel models.

Ring and gift boxes

For a ring or a gift to carry in your pocket. See jewelry cases.

Our tips to keep everything untangled

Close the clasps

An open clasp snags everything that passes. Close it before putting the chain away, even for a short trip.

One piece per slot

One necklace per strip, one bracelet per compartment, one watch per cushion. Avoid putting several chains in the same pocket.

Read the dimensions

A carry-on suitcase and a weekend bag do not have the same dimensions. Compare the dimensions on the product page with the space you have, without relying on a general standard: only the measurements of your own luggage matter.

Keep valuables with you

For the pieces you care about most, many people choose to keep them in their carry-on bag. It is a personal choice, which travel storage makes simple.

Weekend, business trip, long journey: the right format for your needs

Your situation What suits To get started
A weekend with a few pieces A pouch or a small compact box Travel boxes
A business trip with one or two watches A roll or cushion watch case Watch cases
A longer stay with a varied collection A carrying case with compartments Carrying cases
A piece of jewelry to give during the trip A jewelry case Jewelry cases

The format depends not on the length of your stay but on the number and kind of pieces you take. Ten days with three pieces of jewelry fit in a pouch; a weekend with your whole collection will call for a carrying case.

The jewelry packing list

  • Close all clasps before putting chains away.
  • Put each necklace in its own strip, compartment or pouch.
  • Store earrings in pairs, on a card or in a compartment.
  • Wedge rings into slots rather than leaving them loose.
  • Protect watches in a cushion or roll case.
  • Slip the storage into the center of the suitcase, surrounded by clothes, rather than on top.
  • Photograph the contents before leaving: that way you know what should come back.

These steps take a few minutes and avoid most unpleasant surprises on arrival.

When you get back: unpacking and cleaning

When you get back, open the storage, take the pieces out and let them breathe before putting them back at home. A soft cloth is enough to wipe down whatever has traveled. Frequently asked questions

How do I keep chains from tangling while traveling?

Close the clasps and store one necklace per strip or compartment. A roll lays chains out flat, and a separate pouch for each piece limits knots.

Can a watch be carried in a case?

Yes. Watch cases, whether roll or cushion style, separate each watch and protect it from rubbing. Choose the number of slots according to the watches you are taking.

What size is a carry-on suitcase?

We do not quote any standard: suitcase dimensions vary. Compare the dimensions on the product page with those of your own luggage.

How much time do I need before departure?

The published lead time is 6 to 15 business days, after a few business days of processing. The "Delivered on time?" tool calculates the order-by date.

Can I send it back if the format does not suit me?

Yes, you have 14 days to exercise your right of withdrawal, as set out on the Returns page.
